Tonkinese
| The Tonkinese is the result of breeding Burmese to Siamese and is said to combine the best qualities of each. If Tonkinese are bred together, the expected ratio is 50% Tonkinese, 25%Burmese colour, and 25% Siamese colour. They are a pointed breed whose shape should neither be too long and angular nor too short and round, but a combination of both. Eye colour should preferably be blue-green. Temperament also combines the two breeds, being lively, intelligent and very friendly. Not as vocal as the Siamese, it is inquisitive and needs plenty of space. |
